The Imperial Hotel Tenby’s newly unveiled menu at Essence offers a refined yet approachable dining experience that celebrates the best of Welsh coastal cuisine. Set against the backdrop of South Beach, the menu showcases locally sourced ingredients and inventive culinary techniques.

Starters

Begin your dining experience with a tempting selection of starters. Enjoy crispy halloumi with hot honey, spring onion, peanut and coriander, or try our tandoori monkfish with curry emulsion, charred baby leek and puffed rice.  For a lighter start, our olives, bread and hummus offer a delicious vegan option.

Main Courses

Our main courses bring together comforting classics and contemporary flavours. Choose cod loin with celeriac, smoked pancetta, wild mushroom and white wine sauce, or enjoy chicken supreme served with truffle mash, seasonal greens and jus.

For a plant-based option, our spiced Moroccan tagine is served with lemon and parsley couscous, rocket and toasted almond. You can also enjoy our wild mushroom and celeriac Wellington, accompanied by truffle mash, grilled tenderstem broccoli and white wine sauce.

Classics & Grills

Enjoy familiar favourites, freshly prepared. Our 10oz sirloin is served with flat mushroom, tomato, rocket salad and twice-cooked chips. For a classic comfort dish, choose battered cod and chips with crushed peas, chunky tartar sauce and lemon.

Desserts

Finish your meal with something sweet from our tempting dessert selection. Indulge in chocolate ganache with salted caramel and honeycomb, white chocolate and blackberry cheesecake, or sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch and clotted cream ice cream. Other choices include tonka bean panna cotta with toasted marshmallow and winter berry, and apple sorbet with raspberry compote, whiskey Chantilly cream, honey and oat crumble.
