The iconic paddle steamer Waverley will return to South West Wales this June, with a rare and much-anticipated visit to Tenby on Monday, June 24—her only stop there this year.
Sailing from Penarth, Waverley will arrive at Tenby’s picturesque harbour, where locals can step aboard for a special evening cruise around Caldey Island and along the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast as she heads to Milford Haven.
This visit is part of Waverley’s wider Bristol Channel and South West Wales programme running June 2–25, featuring a mix of daytime and evening cruises, island visits, and steam railway connections.
Other highlights include trips to Lundy Island and a historic sailing from Fishguard on June 25—the first in over 30 years.
Onboard, passengers can enjoy period lounges, full catering, and a chance to visit the Engine Room and souvenir shop.
Waverley is currently in Glasgow undergoing a £1 million refurbishment in preparation for her 50th anniversary season in preservation.
The Imperial Hotel – will be the perfect spot to view the historic ship from a sea view bedroom or on the hotel’s terrace overlooking the sea.
